The core operating principle of a bamboo pellet machine is to gradually compress and shape pre-treated bamboo chip powder under high temperature and high pressure, ultimately producing dense, regular, and energy-efficient cylindrical fuel pellets.

  • First, the crushed bamboo chips are evenly fed into the conditioning system. During the conditioning process, steam or an appropriate amount of water is added to adjust the humidity of the bamboo chips. The high temperature softens some of the lignin, enhancing the bonding between the bamboo chips and creating ideal conditions for subsequent high-pressure extrusion.
  • The material then enters the pelletizing chamber. During this process, rollers exert tremendous pressure, forcing the bamboo chips into the die holes. As the material continues to pass through the die holes, the bamboo chip fibers are gradually compressed under the high temperature and high pressure, forming dense pellets.
  • Finally, the formed pellets are cut into specified lengths outside the die holes, ensuring uniform appearance and consistent size.

This complete working principle process ensures that the bamboo chips have advantages such as uniform size, high density and strong durability, which significantly improves the combustion efficiency.

  1. Chipping: Larger bamboo stalks are first processed through a wood chipper, where they are cut into evenly sized chips. This process helps reduce the volume of the raw material, facilitating subsequent crushing.
  2. Crushing: The bamboo chips are then processed into fine bamboo powder using a hammer mill. The appropriate particle size ensures that the material meets pelletizing requirements, laying the foundation for subsequent pellet forming.
  3. Drying: This section uses a drum dryer to control the moisture content of bamboo powder to an appropriate range (12–18%). Proper drying effectively ensures that it can be formed into a stable shape after entering the pelletizer.
  4. Pelletizing: After drying, the bamboo powder enters the bamboo pellet machine, the core equipment of the entire process. Inside the pelletizing chamber, rollers press the material through the ring die under high pressure, forming dense cylindrical pellets. The pelletizing process is crucial, transforming loose bamboo powder into high-value-added solid fuel or industrial raw material.
  5. Cooling: Freshly extruded pellets are hot and soft, so they need to be cooled by a pellet cooler machine to harden the pellet surface and enhance overall durability, making them more suitable for storage and transportation.
  6. Packing: Finally, the cooled and screened pellets will be packed by an automatic packaging machine for subsequent transportation, storage and sales.
