CATTLE FEED FACTORY PRODUCTION LINE PROCESS

A complete pellet production line for a cattle feed factory typically includes the following steps.

production line

Cattle feed usually involves multiple raw materials. Upon arrival, materials are inspected and tested. Qualified raw materials are then sent to the cleaning system, where equipment such as vibrating screens, stone removers, and magnetic separators remove impurities like stones, metals, and other debris.

Ensure safe operation of equipment, maintain feed quality, reduce wear and tear, and minimize equipment failure.

Raw materials are crushed to around 3mm using grinders. Controlling particle size is critical: oversized particles can affect mixing and pelleting, while overly fine particles may generate dust and reduce pellet quality.

Improve nutrient utilization, ensure even mixing, and produce pellets with balanced nutrition.

Since cattle feed primarily consists of grasses and straw, these materials typically have high moisture content. Proper drying is required before pelleting.

Prevent poor pellet formation and spoilage, ensuring high-quality pellets.

Nutritional requirements vary for cattle at different growth stages or for other livestock. An automatic batching system precisely measures ingredients according to the feed formula.

Guarantee accurate formulations and targeted nutritional content.

Pre-processed materials are fed into a mixer according to the formula ratio for thorough blending. Common mixers include single-shaft double-layer paddle mixers or ribbon mixers.

Ensure uniform nutrient distribution in every batch of feed, avoiding imbalances and improving feed efficiency.

Mixed materials enter the conditioner, where steam is added to sterilize, gelatinize, and soften the feed, improving palatability and feed safety. The material then enters the pellet mill, where rollers and a die compress it into dense cylindrical pellets.

Enhance palatability, reduce dust loss, facilitate storage and transportation, and improve feed intake and digestibility.

Freshly formed pellets are hot (around 80°C) and must be cooled to increase hardness and durability. They are then sieved to remove undersized or broken pellets, which are returned to the production line.

Achieve a pellet formation rate of over 98%, ensuring high-quality final products and minimizing waste.

Qualified pellets are sent to the packaging system for quantitative packaging, followed by storage, transportation, or sale.

Prevent moisture, spoilage, or contamination, ensuring stable product quality during transportation and sales.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Improved Palatability
Pellet feed is uniform in shape and size, and its texture is optimized for better palatability. Cows are more likely to consume it, reducing selective eating behavior.

More Balanced Nutrition
During the pelleting process, various ingredients are thoroughly mixed, ensuring each pellet has a consistent nutritional value and preventing nutritional imbalances caused by selective feeding.

Reduced Waste and Pollution
Loose feed types are varied and can easily remain in the feeding environment, leading to raw material waste and environmental pollution.
