CATTLE FEED FACTORY PRODUCTION LINE PROCESS

A complete pelleting production line in a cattle feed processing plant typically includes the following processes.

production line processing

General feed pelleting involves multiple raw materials, requiring acceptance and quality inspection. Once qualified, these materials enter a raw material cleaning system where impurities such as stones, metal, and other contaminants are removed using equipment like vibrating screens, destoners, and magnetic separators.

The purpose is to ensure safe equipment operation, prevent impurities from affecting feed quality, reduce equipment wear, and lower the failure rate.

Various raw materials are pulverized to a size of approximately 3mm using a pulverizer. Controlling the size of the raw materials is crucial; excessively large sizes negatively impact mixing and granulation, while excessively small sizes generate dust, affecting granulation quality.

The purpose of pulverization is to improve the nutrient utilization rate of the materials, ensuring uniform mixing and that each particle possesses balanced nutritional value.

Cattle feed processing primarily uses raw materials such as grasses and straws, which are characterized by high moisture content. To pelletize these materials, they need to be dried to a suitable moisture content.

Materials that are too wet are difficult to shape during pressing and are prone to spoilage, resulting in poor pelleting effects and quality.

The nutritional needs of different breeds of cattle or other animals vary at different stages of development. Therefore, different formulations need to be controlled during pelleting. Automated batching systems can precisely control these formulations.

The purpose of controlling the batching is to ensure accurate formulation and the targeted nutritional profile of the feed.

The pre-treated raw materials are fed into a mixer in a specific ratio for thorough mixing, ensuring a uniform distribution of different components. Commonly used equipment includes single-shaft double-layer paddle mixers or ribbon mixers.

The purpose of mixing is to ensure consistent nutrient composition in each portion of feed, avoiding nutritional imbalances and thus improving feeding efficiency.

The mixed materials enter a conditioner, where steam is added to sterilize, mature, and gelatinize the materials, increasing palatability and killing harmful microorganisms to improve feed safety. The materials then enter the pelleting chamber of a pellet mill, where they are compressed into dense cylindrical pellets of a specific size by pressure rollers and ring dies.

This improves feed palatability, reduces dust loss, facilitates storage and transportation, and simultaneously increases animal feed intake and digestibility.

The freshly formed granules are at a relatively high temperature, approximately 80°C, and require cooling to increase their hardness and wear resistance. Subsequently, a screening process removes unformed or substandard granules, returning them to the production line for further granulation.

Our granule forming rate can reach over 98%. This step ensures the quality of the finished granules and reduces waste.

Qualified pellets are then packaged in the packaging system according to demand, and subsequently used, stored, transported, or sold.

The purpose of packaging and storage is to prevent feed from becoming damp, spoiled, or contaminated, and to ensure the product’s quality remains stable during transportation and sales.

PERGUNTAS FREQUENTES

1) Improved Palatability: Pelletized feed is uniform in shape and size, and after conditioning, it has a better taste, making it easier for cattle to eat and reducing picky eating.

2) More Balanced Nutrition: During the pelleting process, various raw materials are thoroughly mixed, ensuring that each pellet has a balanced nutritional value, preventing selective feeding that can lead to nutritional imbalances.

3) Reduced Waste and Pollution: Loose feed is diverse and easily leaves residues in the feeding environment, resulting in raw material waste and environmental pollution.
